Since 2003, Flight Training Systems, a UK registered Limited company, has developed a small independent team of seasoned aviation and security/risk consultants, who are widely recognized for their leadership, experience, project management and innovative solutions. James Hazou has brought together a diverse and seasoned group of team members, who are highly experienced Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the aviation and security industry sectors, specifically focusing on operations, aerospace technology and aviation security/risk management.

Freelance Aircrew Support and Aviation Consultancy Services
Since 2003, FTS has consistently demonstrated a proven track record of providing both aircrew freelance aircrew support, aviation consultancy services to the aviation industry, both in the UK, Europe, North and South America, Asia, including extensive experience of operating within China, Africa and the Middle East. We place Flight Safety and Operational Effectiveness as our top priorities.
Remote and Inhospitable Deployment Areas
FTS has considerable experience in planning and executing aviation operations in remote and inhospitable areas. FTS will provide detailed assistance in all aspects, including security, risk assessment/management and infrastructure support.
EASA, UKCAA, USFAA, IOMR, San Marino and OTAR Specialist Support
FTS is able to provide detailed and current advice on Air Operator Certificate and private category operational requirements within EASA, UKCAA, USFAA (specifically, Part 135, 91, 91K), IOMR, San Marino and OTAR (Bermuda, Cayman) and Aruba Specialist Support, including Quality Auditing processes.
Aviation Security, Risk Assessment/Management and Airborne Surveillance/Drone Advice
FTS can provide detailed aviation security risk assessment/management, UK Department for Transport accredited Aircrew Security instruction, Recognition of Firearms and Explosives Training. FTS can advise on surveillance; specifically airborne communication relay, FLIR, LIDAR, NVS and UAV operations.
Drone/UAS Operations

Projects
ETMS support to the UK’s School of Army Aviation 2003-2004
The Directors of FTS originally developed FTS’s ETMS software for use at the British Army’s School of Army Aviation, Middle Wallop, when they were still serving service personnel. Subsequently, the system was supported by FTS and was used for all ab-initio training Army helicopter training, through to conversion onto the AH64D Apache Attack Helicopter.
PWC Logistics, Kuwait/Iraq 2004-05
FTS project-managed the purchase of a Learjet 31A and two new Cessna Grand Caravans to support PWC Logistics operations in the Middle East specifically in Iraq, and Sudan. PWC Logistics, now trading as Agility, is the 6th largest global logistics provider in the World.
Trade Links Aviation—Kuwait/Iraq 2005-2006
FTS joined forces with Kuwaiti engineering and construction company Trade Links, in order to provide direct aviation support to civil/security engineering projects within Iraq, under US and Iraqi Government initiatives
Club 328—Private Jet Services 2007-2008
FTS had a close and successful working relationship with Club 328 at Southampton International Airport, specifically managing a fleet of three Beechcraft Premierjet RA1A light business jets, operating under a UKCAA AOC.
UK-based PILATUS PC12 TRTO 2008
FTS, on behalf of Pilatus PC12 Centre UK Ltd, is assisted in project-managing a PC12 TRTO, which was established at Bournemouth international Airport in the 2nd quarter of 2008
Execujet-EU 2008-2013
FTS provided aircrew Bombardier Global Express support to Execujet-EU, Middle East and Asia, including initial and recurrent aircrew security training, including the recognition of firearms and explosives. In 2012, FTS provided technical support to developing JV, using a Hawker-Beechcraft Premier jet demonstration aircraft.
AJW Aviation 2013-2014
FTS provided Bombardier Global Express aircrew support and assisted in the integration of a Bombardier Global Express 5000 aircraft onto the Isle of Man Aircraft Registry.
HKBellawings Jet Limited, Hong Kong 2014-2021
FTS provided aircrew support on Bombardier Global Express Classic, XRS, Vision 5000, 6000 and 6500 aircraft, plus aircrew security training, line training. FTS also oversaw the integration of two Global Express aircraft and one Gulfstream 650 onto the Isle of Man Aircraft registry.

FTS provided consultancy support during the acceptance, integration and aircrew Line Training of a Bombardier Global Express 6000 Vision business jet, including USFAA LOAs under Part 91 private worldwide operations

FTS has provided ongoing aircraft support to Lux Group-Asia and San Marino.
